As an ex-one,veteran and now married 15 years to a soldier, I can tell you this life-style will never mix well in the military. Look at all the problems that exist for these type folks in the civilian sector. Put them out and keep them out is the only solution to this problem.
what type of message are we giving to the younger commmunity ? why must we make more of this situation than whats already been done ? since the beginning of time(Gensis=if you please)this life style has
been expose to those of greatness as well as those of a lowly nature.
right now our focus should be on the safety/well being of our troops both far an near.

Iwas in the air force 8 years,and as a gay man,anyone who thinks there are no gays in the military should open his eyes.It could be accepted in the military,as well as the civilian sector,if only straight men would give up their homophobia.
sexuality prefrence has nothing to do with being able to fight for your country. homosexuals love their country even though their country doesnt always love them. oh and if the military was to keep homosexuals out of it then the military would be half the size it is now if not less. people dont realize how many homosexuals there are in the military and that right there is proof enough that their sexual prefrence doesnt get in the way of their jobs.
Think about it, How do you house the two groups? How do you house males and females? Do the gay men get to house with the males or the females. Do the gay females get to house with the females or the males? I just want to know so I know what to tell them I am at billeting?
In the civillian world nothing against Gays, howerver no room for Gays in the military.
