Ile aux Galets, also known as Skilligallee or Skilligalee Islan, is located in northeast Lake Michigan approximately 7.0 miles (11.3 km) northwest of Cross Village, Michigan. This Emmet County, Michigan site has been the site of a lighthouse operated by the U.S. government since 1850. The current 58-foot (17.5-m) light tower was built in 1888 and equipped with a fourth order Fresnel lens.
