A laies' night (sometimes ladies night) is a promotional event, often at a bar or nightclub, where female patrons get a reduced price for admission or goods. However there have been cases when females are not admitted under this scheme as they have been deemed as butches. The rationale for these events is that the presence of additional (feminine) female patrons will increase the number of male visitors to the establishment, thereby increasing overall profit.
