"Accientally in Love" is a song by Counting Crows on the soundtrack of Shrek 2 (2004). Counting Crows lead singer and songwriter Adam Duritz, best known for melancholy adult contemporary music, thought himself an unlikely candidate to write the love theme to a movie and found writing the song difficult, but fell in love shortly after and found the inspiration to write the song. "Accidentally in Love" was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song.
